To enchant using soul searching magic would be to littural put part of your SOUL into an object which would be less than desirable to most people. Soul searching is the ability to find the magic with in ones self, but again this can take years of study and training and learning and still not everyone is able to learn it. It may work or it may make the Engine come to LIFE and start eating warm bodied people to power its self. Enchanting using Managerie magic could be very dangerous and so is not often done. It's more of a wild magic more powerful but less controlled like wizardry. Managerie magic is MUCH more rare it is people who are born with an ability to bend magic Natturally. Enchanting is a school of Wizardy that can be learned. Even after years of study some students may not even be able to grasp the magical knowledge past a certain level of magic. Wizardry is using knowledge to pull Magic out if the Magic world. Wizardry is the most common but very difficult to use cuz it take YEARS of study to do the simplest of spells. Magic is split up into 5 main different groups, wizardry Managerie (Mages), Soul searchers, clerical, and druidic. The water made for the steam rains on the road are made by Clerics who cast create water for the engines. When you add water to the engine, it heats up the the water and turns the water into steam and the steam is then used to push the tires along tracks. Big enchanted Engines that run on rails set into the ground. On they have what are called Steam Rails. ![]() So imagine knights in shining Armor, riding along side a train as a dragon flies over and breathes fire down. It's all that and more in it's PC iteration.I am working a wild wild west mixed with contemorary fantasy setting. I think if we got David to port this over to GP, we'd be looking at an emulator on par with the best from Reesy and Ryleh, with a great menu with lots of options and features, and no doubt it would be a full speed emulator with support for saves and possibly SuperGraphx support. It runs every game I've tried perfectly, and doesn't suffer from the bugs common to Hugo and it's various ports. ![]() It has support for Supergraphx and Super CD-ROM, and even Arcade CD-ROM (yes I know, the CD-ROM support is not an option for the GP). they are a lot more likely to 'stay alive' instead of being abandoned and left for dead!). It has been consistently worked on for years now, and is still being worked on to this day (one of the great advantages to a pay-for emu. Now, for anyone who doesn't know, Magic Engine is possibly one of the best, most accurate emulators out there. Well, I'm thinking, maybe if we got a show of hands of people saying that they would really be interested in a port, and be willing to pay the $20 to license it (a small price to pay! Many of us have donated TWICE that to guys like Reesy or Ryleh!), maybe we could get the ball rolling. However he mentioned that a port to an open system (like the GP32) would be somewhat more in the realm of possibility, though at the moment he had no interest in doing that. unfortunately since his emulator is a pay-for emu, there would be licensing issues involved in porting his emu to the Xbox that makes it very unfeasible, to say the least. I was actually trying to talk him into a port of his wonderful emulator for the Xbox. ![]() Well I have been having an email conversation with David Michel, the programmer behind the fantastic Magic Engine.
